2nd International Lace meeting
Francoise Monneret in front of her lace stand. This time you will find in detail a "Tombolo" of the Valley Vareïta of the Italian Alps with a lace of Piedmont. In left, Michel Bouvot in company of Claudette (his wife) and Chantal (at the bottom). In detail you will see splendid paperboards of chantilly of Courseulles; It is old from 19th, time Napoleon III. The new one, also at Claudette with the marriage of the stained glass (news passion of Claudette) and of lace. For a first attempt, it rather is successful!
I made the knowledge of Marie who had an incredible silk set: reels with 6 bits but also reels with 1 only bit (kind silk twist). Marie will be present at Creully, in July 2003, with of course her multicoloured reels but also with the worms with silk. In detail, admire the work completed with this silk by Nathalie Lemaitre (whom I could not photograph because pause lunch). In right-hand side, here Nelly Guilloteau de Montigny Bretonneux. It is carrying out a shawl black (half lace, half black silk) of its own creation.

On left, this triangle worked in DMC 80 black is a part of the shawl. Who knows, perhaps will see it finished at the time of the next meeting. Nelly followed the courses of setting in chart by correspondence of Michel Jourde, the professor can be proud of his pupil. On right-hand side, here some handkerchiefs carried out by Nelly, first is in Bucks, the beaded second in rosaline (see detail), the 3 and 4th are in point of Paris.
