The "Hainaut en dentelle"

Here to finish two windows including various cushions of marriage, fans and other jewels as of the work made in needle lace like the butterfly of Francoise. Francoise is lace beginner : she only learn needle lace two days this summer in Sebourg. She brought her work finished  the day before the exposure and they is fabulous because she had seen only the basic points during the training course.

The day occurred without obstacle, better than I did not hope but, believe me, at a vertiginous speed. One often asked me "when do you organize a meeting in Sebourg????". It is done now and we are, Patrick and myself, very satisfied with the interest of the public for work carried out. See all  lacemakers enjoyed of their day, is really most beautiful rewards. I understand now why several organizers prefer a demonstration over two days instead of one,  it is really many work for only one day.

Cheer all the lacemakers who share her passion, this same passion which starts to touch the public of today more and more.

Detail

Here the bobbins you were to find the respective country. It was more or less difficult, but very amusing to see you circulating with your answer coupon and your pencil!

And then it was the hour of the examination of the 53 bulletins. As it was necessary to make quickly and not to make error, Patrick had engaged one of his friends. We could pass then to the results: the price of encouragement (a pair of paper bobbins) was won by Mrs. Demonchy de Marpant with 1 point.

The second prize is win by Elke Schmitz of Cologne with 17 points. Elke had set out again, Mr. De Meester thus gave me a ticket of purchase of 25€ so that I send to her.
Finally the first price was won by Miss Elise Smolak with 20 points. Mr. Dumon gave the pillow to Elise. Elects is lace beginner, it followed the introductory course to the spindles, having now a beautiful pillow, it invested in bobbins, wire.... and will be able to continue the training of its new passion: lace.

Mr. Dumon and the winner

We will probably renew the experiment in 2 years, the 1 er weekend of June 2005 for a national or even international meeting why not if we obtain a financial assistance of the town hall or other organizations. It is necessary to leave time with the lacemakers "to be renewed": it should not be forgotten that it is a manual art "hand made" and not "machine made"
