The "Hainaut en dentelle"

On right side and the bottom of the room all the stands invited dentelliers were: Bobbins of the valley of Sambre Jeumont,  Gussignies, Jenlain famous for beer but also for lace, Maubeuge, Raucourt au bois, Valenciennes, Marly and Michele Desaulty de Cauroir which is not a lacemaker but who is a real artist  with the fabric incrustation.

The "V.D.V" Véritable Lace of Valenciennes was represented by Marcelle (in the foreground) and her friends. Marcelle makes here Valenciennes, but also torchon at my courses of Thursday. Valenciennes was intended mainly for the linen room. Nowadays, it is employed in small decorative mats. For lace with the meter, nothing is worth beautiful Valenciennes, see the detail rather.

Marie-Jeanne, that I do not present to you so much any more it is famous for her needle-lace. She is never wearied to learn, this is why, on the table, you can saw some achievements out of lace of Lierse (she is the last training course which M.J. followed). On right side, Michele between M the Mayor and myself. Michele was charmed to see that the visitors were interested in his work, because it had a fear: she is not a lacemaker. She exposed Abcédaire made out of lace of Calais, her last realization was a young girl entitled "the underskirt out of lace". The public could be delayed according to hers tastes: hydrangeas or herrings, all was seizing of realism.
