The 5th demonstration of Malaga (Spain June 2003)

"V nacional de encaje de bolillos - I encuentro internacional" (5th national demonstration and 1st international meeting) of Malaga was held from the 1 to June 8, 2003. The exposure was located in a room of the Municipal Files, some 24 hours training courses (8 hours during 3 days) were exempted by professors of 6 different countries. Sunday of June 8 took place the inauguration, the most spectacular of the demonstration was on Plaza de la Marina.

The tradition of lace failed to be lost in Malaga. The "asociación de bolilleras Malaca ", with Mrs Teresa Guzmán Gonzáles as President, contributes to the revival of this inheritance.
The lace most practised in Malaga is lace Torchon, in all its forms: bands, squares, rounds, ovals and even of the point lace. In order to widen knowledge of the lacemakers, various training courses one suggested.
We will start with the training courses and the presentation of the various professors as well as taught technique.

These courses proceeded in the "Centro Civico". A superb masonry which receive usually students in art. It is also used as lodging house for these same students. It is there we were sleeping.
