Le festival international de la dentelle et broderie de Creully (12 et 13juillet 2003)

An excursion was organized. We could discover the countryside Norman and stop us in Villedieu les Poêlles, capital of copper. With this occasion we visited three museums: the museum of the piece of furniture contains the cupboards, beds and tables of tradition Norman, the museum of copper and that of lace that I will briefly present to you.

For once, I will not show you lace, but rather the person on the initiative of this museum. Jeanne Legorju, born in 1904, is on the initiative of the creation of this museum. So that this art is not lost in Villedieu, it sought existing laces in the various attics of the city. This is why, one finds laces of all techniques in this small museum.
