The museum of the Jacquard (Roubaix)
You can discover this original and single museum in Roubaix (Northern). This "Workshop living" of the Jacquard wants to be the conservative of a textile knowledge, important in Roubaix, transmitted from generation to generation.
You will be able to discover a crowd of machines there, all in operating state, the guides you will explain of it operation and will make you demonstrations.
Warping frame (fine of XIXe)
You will be able to discover this fantastic weaving loom the ribbons (1884). This trade weaves simultaneously twelve identical ribbons, each ribbon having its own set of shuttles, the colors can be different. Formerly this trade was actuated with arm. With right-hand side, another trade with arm of 1740.
