The private collection of Simone

When we made our training course of polychrome of Courseulles, we had the chance not only to be comfortably loged (the training course occurred to the lodging from Simone and Yves Brune, Les Hauts de Ammeville 14170 Oudon), but also very happy because Simone showed us some parts of a rare beauty.

Simone have a small collection of headstocks, admire rather on the left, but also very old handkerchiefs. Here is a small sample. Those and those which will go to the castle of Creully in July 2003 will be able to admire all these handkerchiefs when I present my conference on the handkerchief.

On right-hand side, a handkerchief of marriage, with many embroideries. Notice, in detail, the smoothness of the rosettes made with needle.

Here another corner of handkerchief, rich in embroidery, also in needle-lace. With doite, a small pocket, always in needle-lace.

We will finish this small visit by this superb white embroidery representing a small house hidden in the foliage.
