The caps "Manchoises" of Arlette Legallais-Poidvin
For this cap of Sainte Croix d'Hague, the wings are ventrues and rather round. Of course, during the housework or of interior, these were not these caps that the women carried, but rather this bonnet of interior (on the right).

Arlette carries a cap to beard of the Haye du puits. The barbs replace the wings and are also in valencians. There is no ribbon but a flower.
Here part of the collection of Arlette Legallais-Poidvin. All these caps are authentic and with time, restored and all are furnished with lace to the spindles, of Valenciennes for the majority. We could have spent a lot of hours to listen to Arlette, but fault of time, us did not tackle the subject of maintenance (washing, amidonage, sharpening?), nor of the technique of restoration.
